In this dynamic, interactive and fun course learn powerful teaching
techniques that communicate whole systems education and
Permaculture principles for a wide variety of settings. Jude and Tom
have a combined experience of over 40 years of teaching and design.
Their commitment to encouraging diverse learning and teaching styles
helps you develop your unique strengths and talents. This course
models and practices various teaching techniques including lecture,
facilitated discussions, lesson planning, course organization and
group presentations. These opportunities provide the essential
learning experiences for this course. Each participant will do
several presentations that provide hands-on experience.
This course is certified by the Cascadia Permaculture Institute.

Jude Hobbs is a horticulturist, Permaculture designer, and activist.
Since 1982, she has provided whole system environmental design
solutions for urban and rural settings. As an associate with
Agro-Ecology she works with small-scale farmers and eco-labeling
organizations. Jude teaches Permaculture workshops and courses
throughout the West, developing curricula that encompass diverse
learning styles. She has written an OSU Bulletin: A Guide to

Tom Ward is an ethno-botanist, eco-forester and Permaculture
designer. He has extensive multi-cultural experience in the USA and
overseas. He is the author of "Greenward Ho: An Ecological Approach
to Sustainable Health" Tom has developed curricula for permaculture
courses at Laney College and D-Q University in California. He has
taught Permaculture Design Courses for 18 years and is based in
Ashland.
Tuition: $650-$725 (includes course materials, organic meals, & camping)
Prerequisite: Permaculture Design Course Certificate or experience in
permaculture
